Friction
In certain cases, you may experience some friction when pulling the lever to dispense your dog's kibble. While some friction isnormal, please ensure that you properly lift the lever before pulling it and make sure to keep your bowl shelf clean from debris to minimize any friction.
To properly dispense your dog's kibble, first lift the lever up before pulling it open:
Warning: never retract a full bowl of kibble back into the storage bin.
Jams
In rare occurrences you may find that you are unable to pull the lever to open the drawer completely due to a jam. If you experience a jam, please follow these steps:
1. Gently move the handle back and forth to free the blocked kibble, making sure you are lifting the handle up.
2. Use a thin material like a ruler to clear debris stuck between the shelf and the base of the dispenser.
3. If you are still experiencing issues you'll need to remove the food from the container by scooping it out with a cup from the top.
If this happens multiple times, it's possible that your food is too big for the bowl of the kibble dispenser itself. Please contact us at hello@houndsy.com to make sure that your food is indeed compatible. We may suggest exchanging your bowl for a deeper bowl to help alleviate the issue.
Kibble Leaks
Depending on a combination of the size of your dog's kibble and the bowl size that you use, leaks can occasionally occur when dispensing your kibble. To minimize leaks, please ensure that you properly lift the lever before pulling it.
